Jonathan Marks
Media Anthropologist, Netherlands

Jonathan operates where broadcast, mobile and Web 3.0 overlap, examining how digital storytelling is taking a hold thanks to the emergence of new and relevant technology. He has been completing a media lab in Benin that is testing out relevant technology in Africa, concentrating on energy efficient ways of operating community media in that region.

Jonathan has a heritage in traditional broadcasting (1980-2003) working mainly in the international broadcasting sector. He has produced and hosted Radio Netherlands' Media Network programme from 1981 to 2001 when it switched to a web-only production.
