The Broadcasting Act, 2001expanded the remit of the BCI giving the Commission responsibility for licensing content on cable, MMD and satellite systems.

The Commission will develop its Radio Licensing Policy under the 2001 Act and will lauch it before the end of this year. Further details on its development will be available on this page at that time.
