BCI RECEIVES FIVE APPLICATIONS FOR NEW
MIDLANDS / NORTH EAST REGIONAL LICENCE
The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) today announced the receipt of five applications for a new youth licence for the midlands/north-east region. This service will cover the Counties of Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Kildare, North-East Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
The proposed station names and contact details for each of the applicant groups are listed below.

All applications submitted to the BCI will be made available for public inspection from Friday 8th December next. From that date, they can be viewed on-line or by appointment through the Commission’s offices at 2-5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2. Alternatively, applications may be viewed at Meath County Library, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath.
It is anticipated that the first phase of consideration of the applications, by the Board of the BCI, will take place at their meeting on Monday, February 19th 2007.
