BCI ANNOUNCES VENUE FOR CHRISTIAN AND RELIGIOUS  
ORAL HEARING

 

 

A public hearing of the applications for a new quasi-national Christian and religious sound broadcasting service on the AM band will be held in the Burlington Hotel, Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4 this coming Monday, March 26th, 2007.  The hearing, which will take place in the Ulster & Munster Suite, will commence at 2.00 p.m. sharp.

The purpose of the public hearing process is to afford the applicant groups an opportunity to present their case for the licence in a public forum and to allow the Commission to clarify certain issues in the applicants’ submissions. 

 

The applications received can be viewed on the BCI’s website, www.bci.ie or by appointment at the BCI’s offices at 2 – 5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2.

 

It is anticipated that a decision with regard to the award of the licence will be made at the Commission’s meeting on April 16th.
