BCI RECEIVES ONE APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY TELEVISION LICENCE IN
CORK CITY & COUNTY
The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today (March 29th) announced the receipt of the following application for the provision of a community television service in Cork City and County as provided for by Section 39 of the Broadcasting Act, 2001. The applicant proposes that the service will be carried on the local cable/MMD system in the franchise area.

The application will be considered by the Commission at its Board meeting on April 16th 2007 and further details regarding the licensing process will be announced at that time.
The application will be made available for public inspection, either by appointment at the BCI’s office at 2 – 5 Warrington Place, Dublin 2 or on the Commission’s web-site, www.bci.ie from Tuesday 10th April. The application will also be available at this date for viewing at the Cork City Library, Grand Parade, Cork.
