THE BROADCASTING COMMISSION OF IRELAND RENEWS TELEVISION PROGRAMME SERVICE CONTRACT OF TV3
The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today signed a contract with TV3 for the renewal of its television programme service contract. TV3s renewed contract will run until September 19th 2018 with a further five year renewal option, subject to certain conditions, at that point.
Speaking at the contract signing, Conor Maguire, Chairperson of the BCI said: “I am delighted to sign today’s contract with TV3 and I wish them continued success in the years ahead. TV3 has made an important mark on the Irish broadcasting landscape offering an alternative to the Irish Public Service Broadcasting television channels and contributing to programme diversity since it commenced broadcasting in 1998. The contract ensures that this contribution will continue to be made into the future.”
The TV3 contract was signed on behalf of TV3 by David Mc Redmond, Chief Executive and David Mc Munn, Director of TV3. Conor Maguire, Chairperson and Michael O’Keeffe, Chief Executive, signed on behalf of the BCI.
