CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SECOND ROUND OF

SOUND & VISION

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today (15 th March) issued a call for applications for the second round of Sound & Vision, the Broadcasting Funding Scheme.

An advertisement has been placed in today’s national press seeking applications from programme makers (producers, individuals and/or broadcasters) for new radio and/or TV programmes. The Scheme is specifically designed to support the production of new programmes on Irish culture, language, heritage and experience, in both English and Irish for TV or radio. Sound & Vision also provides funding for new programmes aimed at improving adult literacy.

Since the first funding round a number of changes have been m ade to the application guidelines. Updated guidelines for applicants, along with official application forms are now available to download from the BCI website or by e-mail from sound&vision@bci.ie.

The closing date for receipt of applications for the current round is 12 noon on April 28 th next.
