BCI INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR COMMUNITY AND

COMMUNITY OF INTEREST SOUND BROADCASTING SERVICES

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today (March 21st) placed an advertisement in the national and local press seeking applications for the following community and community of interest sound broadcasting services on the FM band:

 

Community

 

Youghal Town and Environs

South West Dublin

 

Community of Interest

 

Dublin City (Irish Language community)

Galway City (student community)

Limerick City (student community)

Cork City (student community)

 

The Commission has provided a Guide to Submissions to assist potential applicants in the drafting of their applications. The BCI’s Guide to Submissions, Community and Community of Interest Sound Broadcasting Services on the FM Band (Phase Two) is available from the Commission’s headquarters or on its website.

 

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 5pm on 28th April, 2006 . After initial consideration by the Commission, all applications will be made available to view at the Commission’s offices, or on its website.
