BCI RECEIVES FIVE APPLICATIONS FOR NEW
NORTH WEST REGIONAL LICENCE

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) today announced the receipt of five applications for a new youth licence for the north-west region. This service will cover the Counties of Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Longford, Roscommon and Galway.

 

The proposed station names and contact details for each of the applicant groups are listed below.

All applications submitted to the BCI will be made available for public inspection from Monday 31 st July next. From that date, they can be viewed on-line or by appointment through the Commission’s offices at 2-5 Warrington Place , Dublin 2. Alternatively, applications may be viewed at Galway Public Library, Island House, Cathedral Square, Galway .

 

It is anticipated that the first phase of consideration of the applications, by the Board of the BCI, will take place at their meeting on Monday, September 4th.
